Overview

Develop your individual artistic voice within a community of artists and ideas. The Painting & Drawing program at the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art combines studio practice, critical thinking and an exploration of historical and contemporary issues in art.

You’ll build technical skills in painting and drawing while developing your understanding of technique, design and conceptual thinking. As you progress through the program, critiques, discussions and experimentation will help you explore personal questions, develop your ideas and pursue your own creative direction. A flexible curriculum also gives you opportunities to investigate a range of artistic approaches and related disciplines.
